The RDV Sportsplex Ice Den will once again celebrate Halloween on Ice with “Spooky Skate,” on Sunday, October 26th. Spooky Skate includes ice skating, “spooky” music, a costume contest, candy, games, and fun for all ages! Everything begins at 2:00pm and will wrap up at 4:45pm. Admission for this extended ice skating event is $6.48 plus tax, but skaters who wear a costume will get $1.00 off admission. Skates can be rented for $2.35 plus tax.
My wife and I have been to the Ice Den to skate twice in the past year. The first time, however, we didn’t get out on the ice since all of the skates had been rented. The second time we showed up a little earlier and had no problems (except for the fact that we hadn’t been skating in years).
There are very few places for Orlandoans to enjoy cold-weather activities like ice skating, but the Ice Den is a great facility for those who enjoy them. If you plan on attending “Spooky Skate”, make sure to arrive a little early. For those of you that have your own skates (you must not be a native), there shouldn’t have any problems.
Additional Info
Group reservations are encouraged for “Spooky Skate”, with special pricing for parties of ten or more, and can be made by calling 407-916-2666.
