Action sports fans get ready, the AST Dew Tour is coming back to Orlando!

The 2008 season, with events in five cities, will once again feature Orlando as its ultimate stop in the season-long race for the Dew Cup. Scheduled for October 16-19 at the Amway Arena, the action sports stars will compete in six events - Skate Vert, Skate Park, BMX Vert, BMX Park, BMX Dirt and FMX. Last year’s champions, Shaun White, Ryan Sheckler, Jamie Bestwick, Daniel Dhers, Ryan Nyquist and Nate Adams will surely be back to lead the list of athletes competing.

In addition to the competitive events, the AST Dew Tour will also set up their “Outdoor Festival” where fans can get autographs from their favorite athletes, try out some of the latest equipment and more. It’s basically a giant street party for the action sports world. Last year, they even built a giant pool for wakeboarding exhibitions and brought in some of the world’s best wakeboarders to “compete”. Even local radio celebrity, Drunky the Bear, got in the action.

Tickets, which go on sale today starting at 10am, can be purchased through Ticketmaster Online. It appears that there are two different types of tickets this year - General Admission and Action Zone. The Action Zone seats include guaranteed a premium seat at each finals event, AST Dew Tour hat, Behind the Scenes Tour on Thursday October 16th, 20% off merchandise coupon, Fast Pass Access into venues and interactive areas and a subscription to one of TransWorld’s Magazines. Costs range from $90 to $250 for four-day passes. Single-day tickets are also available, with costs ranging from $30 to $100.
