As if pillow-fighting wasn’t enough last weekend, Brian Feldman will be out in the community again this weekend when he boards the Lynx Link 33 bus on Saturday morning for it’s final tour of Seminole County. With the route going out of service that evening, Brian wants to know how passengers will cope with the loss of the only route that runs to Orlando Sanford International Airport.

It sounds like an interesting project and could produce some fascinating data. I only hope that there are people still taking that route. It is being canceled after all. No riders would be a good reason for such an action.
If you’re interested in joining Brian for a portion of the day, here’s the schedule of stops. For only $4.00, you could ride all day.
Here’s the complete press release …
Who: Brian Feldman Projects / Brian Feldman
What: Link 33 - Performance artist Brian Feldman marks the final day for the LYNX route by riding all 32 scheduled run times and interviewing passengers on the bus about how they will cope with the loss of service.
When: Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 5:05am - 9:05pm
Where: Seminole Centre, 3653 S. Orlando Drive, Sanford, FL 32773 (US 17-92 & Americana Blvd.); view complete schedule
Why: As a regular LYNX rider, Brian Feldman understands the paratransit experience all too well. It’s difficult enough getting around as it is, but factor in a service discontinuation and the going gets even tougher. LYNX Link 33 is notable in that is the only route that runs to Orlando Sanford International Airport, and therefore Reykjavik, Iceland. In other words, if you now desire to get to the world’s most northern national capital - direct from Central Florida, you must now walk, take a cab, get a ride from someone, or I guess… drive yourself. That, and Icelandair, of course. (There are no bike racks at Orlando Sanford International Airport.)
How Much: $0.85 (AdvantAge Single Ride One-Way Fare) - $4.00 (Standard Single-Day Pass)
Disclaimer: This project is not sanctioned, endorsed or sponsored by LYNX (Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority), Orlando Sanford International Airport, Icelandair or Seminole County Supervisor of Elections.
Brian Feldman Projects is responsible for The Feldman Dynamic, Leap Year Day, Pillowlando and the upcoming Phone Booth and Photobooth Marathons.

I’m anticipating a pretty quiet day on the bus. I mean, it’s noisy, but… you get my drift.
