Tree Lighting Ceremony Will Light Up Downtown Orlando December 5

Holiday Lights Orlando, which includes the city’s annual outdoor Christmas tree lighting ceremony, will take place at City Hall Plaza in downtown Orlando on December 5 beginning at 5:15 p.m.

In addition to the more than 35,000 lights, spectators can enjoy a variety of musical entertainment, a visit from Santa and holiday-themed refreshments. Evening anchor Bob Frier of WKMG Local 6 will lead a sing-a-long, and the Hurst Chapel Choir, the Temple of Reform Judaism Choir and the St. James Cathedral Children’s Choir will also perform.

Also Johnny and Jayde from local radio station XL106.7 will be there to collect toys for their Baby DJ Fund, which gives new, unwrapped toys to local families who are unable to provide their children with toys for the holidays.
