Day Trips From Orlando

For December’s book of the month, we’re hitting the road and taking you with us. Our guide is the book, “Day Trips from Orlando”, by Janet Groene with Gordon Groene, so we’re sure to have a good time.

The book, from the Insiders’ Guide series, covers day trips leading out of Orlando and into the surrounding Central Florida area. Starting to the north and working our way clockwise around the compass, “Day Trips from Orlando”, visits places like the Colby Memorial Temple in Cassadaga, Dodgertown in Vero Beach, and Fort Cooper State Park in Inverness. There’s places you’ve definitely heard of, too, like Busch Gardens in Tampa and Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral.

Based on first impressions, it’s a book that provides the type of information I’d like Living Orlando to offer. Dining, entertainment, and so much more, all from a local perspective. A lot like “Great Dates Orlando” with a much wider focus and perhaps a bit more information.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll post my review and a few thoughts on who I think would enjoy this book the most. As always, we’ll give away a free copy to one of our readers at the end of the month. Consider it a chance to win yourself an extra Christmas present, just for leaving a comment.
