Plazaween on Wall Street in Downtown Orlando

If you’re looking for some Halloween entertainment in the Downtown Orlando area, the 7th annual “Plazaween: Nightmare on Wall St.” returns again this year on Saturday, October 27th and Wednesday, October 31st.

The event, titled “2007 DEADLY SINS”, will feature a street party and a midnight costume contest on each of the nights. There are over $2500 in prizes available, although they don’t say if that is broken up over the two nights or if only one of the contests will have prizes. All attendees must be at least 21 years old and pay the $10 cover charge to gain access to the plaza.

Downtown can be a really interesting place for costumes. One image I’ll never forget was when a pickup truck - decorated to look like a toilet - was driving around town. Running around in the bed of the truck were three or four people wearing irregularly shaped brown costumes. Disturbing, yes … but funny.

To pre-purchase tickets online, visit the “Plazaween” page on the Wall Street website.

If you haven’t already, now is a good time to subscribe to the Living Orlando RSS feed. We’ve just put up our “Holiday Season in Orlando” page and will be updating the site with numerous holiday events over the next few months.
