Great Dates Orlando - Wrapup

In wrapping up this month’s book review and giveaway of “Great Dates Orlando: 52 Ways to Discover Orlando’s Romantic Side“, I thought I’d give some recommendations on who should buy the book. As I noted in the review, “Great Dates Orlando” is an excellent source of information on some of the area’s best locations and events. While 52 dates hardly covers the possibilities in this city, the book is a reminder that there are a ton of great date ideas for every personality.

Who should buy the book
In the back of the book, there is a page that recommends giving “Great Dates Orlando” as a gift, which is where this book really hits a home run. Whether it’s for Christmas, a birthday, a wedding shower, a housewarming party, or as a component in one of those gift baskets that have become so popular, this book will be well-read by its recipient, especially if they are new to the area. This book would also be perfect for anyone that’s looking to find places in different parts of the city, like Winter Park, Dr. Phillips, Kissimmee, off Kirkman Road and out around the theme parks.

As one of the only books available on date ideas in the Orlando area, I can’t recommend anything else in its place. It’s not only the date ideas you’ll be getting, but the phone numbers, addresses, websites, insider tips and bits of experience that Kristen includes on every page. Just buy it, read it, put it on your desk at work or leave it in your car for those times when you need inspiration.

Who should not buy the book
This is fairly straight-forward. If you’re already going out to places in Downtown Orlando, Winter Park, Dr. Phillips, around the theme parks, and also finding those local spots in your own neighborhood, you probably don’t need this book as your guide. This book is also not where you’re going to find a handful of new date spots in your local area, unless you’re in one of those places listed above. Towns like Oveido, Casselberry, Winter Garden, Clermont and Lake Mary are left for your own discovery, although I’d love to hear some ideas from those areas, if you’ve got any.

Final Words
As a final reminder, one commenter will be selected to receive a free copy of this book (no strings attached) at the end of the month. We’ll pick the winner on October 26th and let everyone know on the 30th. Just leave a comment and your name goes in the hat. On November 5th, we’ll start this process all over again with a new book of the month.
