8 P.M. Tee Time at Windermere Golf Center

Do you love golf but have no time on the weekend to actually play? Better yet, do you have time on the weekend only to find that your game is completely out of shape? Or, are you simply tired of spending your nights in front of the television?

If you can answer yes to any of these questions, there’s at least one place in town where you can go to be cured.

The Windermere Golf Center on State Road 535 is a great place to practice your golf swing and/or spend an evening outdoors. Of course, there will be golf involved, but even beginners can have fun teeing it up under the lights and firing off shots down the range. Buckets start at $7 for 50 balls and go up to $14 for 155. If you’re really looking to punish yourself, $35 gets you a full day of unlimited range time.

There are many nights when the teeing area is completely full. With the heat of the day long gone and the blistering sun set, locals and visitors alike find their way to this golfer’s “Field of Dreams.” While you won’t be able to tee it up with Bobby Jones or Byron Nelson, there are teaching pros that hold lessons at night and I’ve even seen PGA Tour player Skip Kendall there a time or two.

If you’re looking to improve your long game, you can do that here. The same is true for your irons, wedges, bunker shots, putting and chipping and even your “game” game. After all, where else would you recommend finding someone that shares your passion for golf?

There’s probably similar places around town to practice your golf game, but I doubt there’s any better than the Windermere Golf Center. They’re open from 7am to 10pm seven days a week, which means you’ve always got time for at least a small bucket.
