This interactive performance takes place outside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in Adventureland, and is well worth the wait.
The experience consists of Captain Jack Sparrow and his mate Mack leading guests through a series of pirate skill tests. Who is craftiest at wooden swordplay? Who can flash their most menacing pirate grimace? Who’s brave enough to take the pirate oath?
The best part about this experience is that their script must’ve been written with somewhat fluid guidelines, because the actors almost always change up the show by interacting with guests - pretty girls get proposed to or flirted with by Captain Jack; kids dressed in pirate costumes have their bravery tested in a swordfight with Jack himself; and kids dressed in Davy Jones costumes cause Jack to cower.
The actor(s) that play Jack are especially amazing. The Jack costume is almost a replica of that worn in the film, and the mannerisms and personality the actors exude make you feel like you’re watching the real Jack Sparrow.
